it is what it is....i guess the C word at 50,,specifically leukemia. In my younger yrs that was just a death sentence. Still is but sometimes a delayed sentence. Coma after crash at 50,,survived worst typhoon in asia at 56 and was saving lives not worrying. Cancer since 2009 they found in my coma but its life. Never expected to live this long. I just worry about my son.

Maybe 10 years ago when I started to see friends people I have know passing away from 40's to early 60's. It wasn't long after that I retired early to just live life. Life is short you can't buy back time.
I left a job I had for 35 year making 6 digits and loved what I was doing. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to do was leave something I loved but also my time was starting to be worth more to me then any pay check.
Now I look back and wish I had done it sooner to get every minute I can doing what I want too while my health is still great.

Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime

I was 25 and Iw2as going on a combat patrol to Baghdad. I said to the warrent officer in the truck "I'm too young to care how dangerous this all is" Right then and there I grew up a little.

I new I never was going to be around forever, but when my kids were born I knew I had to be around for them. They are both grown up now but still feel I need to be there in there tough times.

Saw a saying that went ( live every day like it is your last day because one day it will be)
and I do not do anything that will speed the end up.
Had a heart attack at the age of 55 in 2006 died in the hospital was shocked back had a stent put in.
I have to many things that I want to see happen like my grandkids get married.I
I don't worry about death the worry will kill you.

Several time for me, our family is accident prone. I had a brother die at 22, another brother at 44 and father at 56. But I am still in there.

You pay a price no matter what you do if you enjoy life like me and marry at 40 you don’t get to have kids but live your dreams out but if you have kids you don’t experience life as much but you have kids to enjoy for years to come.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

I think about my mortality every day. Not in a morbid way but I'm at an age where there's more time behind me than there is ahead of me. More things to get done than there is time to do.

Life in retrospect is funny. In some ways it all seems like it happened just yesterday and in another, like it was lifetimes ago.

Things would be a lot better had we been born old and then eventually die as babies. Work from old to your 30’s and then retire to have fun!!
