I suppose a few years and warnings about being "quota", the gov would auction his line off. That's what happens when you make deals with the devil, er bureaucrat, they still hold the power.

I caught a bit of "Life, Liberty, and Levin" last night. He was talking to a conservative college professor who was a co-author of a new book about FDR. I knew ole Frank Roosevelt liked to use his power but never knew how ruthless he was to people, especially the "little people", who would dare question his policies. Radio stations--still a rather new thing in the 1930s--had been licensed every 3 years by the FCC. Ole FDR got to be changed to every 6 months. Speak out against his policies and his FCC boys would not re-new your station's license. Radio programing and news got real respectful to FDR's way of governing fairly quick. Basically, no one talked about it, the depression was going on and people who owned radio stations wanted to stay in business. Can you imagine if DJT tried to do something like that now?? The wailing would be heard coast to coast. I guess being the top dog for 12 years got FDR in the end, along with his numerous filter-less ciggies. He was only 63 when he died, even though he looked 15 years older.
