If you're talking bait feeders, the Shimano bait runner is an excellent (but pricey) reel.

I purchased a D.A.M. Quick Exquisite several years ago from Cabelas for about $40 but I don't think they sell them anymore... I am extremely happy with it for the price and it has landed numerous carp over 20lbs and plenty of channel cat too.

If you do a quick Amazon search, I think there are several options on there and the reviews are generally a reliable means to determine quality.

Just happy to be here.

I have one. It's a must have for striper fishing.

Penn, Shimano, and Okuma are the three that come to mind and having the best reputation. Personally I would put the Penn and Shimano over Okuma just based on the other models I've used in the past. I've not been a big fan of Okuma stuff, but I know others like it.

I have an okuma baitcaster that I like well for catfishing. The spinners with bait runner are what I'm not sure about as I would think the runner function is a bit more complicated and consequently more prone to failure.

Anyone tried the Diawa's

They're susceptible to dirt/coronation issues, and most saltwater environments also have a lot of air born sand that can jamb them up.

Maintenance and not really needed on braided lines.
