You are really close to Rochester, MN . Shoot on up to Mayo clinic. They will fix you up!! Lots of alternatives !! Look into proton beam treatment !

I was diagnosed 10 years ago, I feel I was lucky , with early diagnosis. Had 42 radiation treatments and 6 chemo treatments. My PSA has tested 0 each year since. Good luck with your treatments. All you other guy's be sure to get your PSA test done yearly, catch it early. old243

Thee are a lot of options... I chose the "seeding" method, now there is a "cyro" method involving freezing. I went from a 7.0 to a consistent 0.1... best of luck.

I had prostate cancer at 52 and had a radical prostetectomy, which means they cut it out. Definitely a life changing experience and lots of side effects that I deal with every day, but it's 8 years later and I'm still alive and cancer free.

The main thing you have to be concerned about is the if the cancer is contained within the margins of the gland. I was fortunate I caught mine early and the cancer had not spread. Best wishes to ya.
