Put a fan in it and leave it where you can trust it being open all night with the fan blowing in it

Fresh air moving is your easiest method to remove it

Ozone generators work great. Can get one in Amazon for cheap!

Well, I may be beaten. Scrubbed the rear carpet with everything everybody mentioned except Gusto and skunk. Tried straight vinegar, Dawn, Oxy with vinegar, blah, blah, blah.
When I was scrubbing it in the bathtub I realized the carpet is adhered to what feels like a flat plastic panel which is on top of heavy plastic or whatever, The bottom plastic has ribs and grooves molded into it for strength. I am afraid the gas was in there long enough to get down into those ribs and there is not any way I can get it out of there it that's true.

Put it outside still wet and will do a sniff check in the morning. When I was carrying it out I smelled old gas (not mine) but my nose is so full of the stink I will wait till morning. Best guess right now is that we will need to replace it either from a junker or cobble something together.

Wife bought a bunch of deodorizers, sprays, wipes, etc. for the interior. Once we get it smelling okay I am going to change the interior air filter.

It's a nice car for my wife and we will figure this out. Thanks for all the help!

If all this other stuff does not work I will probably wind up with an ozone machine.
