They just dumped a bunch in the lake by my house but I would not eat any fish out of there.

Trout are known as bait fish as they are not a match for walleyes and northerns. In most cases the waters are too hot for trout, as the lakes are shallow. This is bullhead, perch, walleye and if the northerns have access to rising water, they spawn in these lakes too.
