I am sure more than a few on this trapper man has owned a skandic swt so maybe someone has experienced this problem.

I have been trying to get my skandic started but after many tries it will just not fire up. It gets fuel no problem, made sure connections looked good, changed several plugs but when I checked the spark quality from the plugs both seem like it looks "weak" . Last year I replaced the voltage reg and the yr before the coil so this may not be the problem. I will also say when I am cranking the headlight does light up, I take this as a sign the stator is ok. The sled did not start easily at the beginning of the yr this which was unusual as well.

Thanks for any help.

May be your black box is getting tired.

How's the compression ?? Have you checked for ice, water in the fuel ? Dump in some alcohol

What engine is in it.500 rotax? What kind of milage?
Had an old tundra that did that-needed a piston.

Change the plugs, first thing to try.

Or pull the plugs clean them , then give each cylinder a quick shot of wd-40 put them back in a give it another try .

AK- black box= ignition coil? I poured some saw gas down each cylinder in case of water, not even a hiccup trying to get combustion, did this b4 I posted for help, no go.

Changed out several plugs, no diff in spark quality nor starting,

boco- mileage is 3200km, still good compress in 2x cylinders.

Black box I believe is the same as cdi box. Sometimes people cut the end of the spark plug wires off and reattach the caps for a better connection.

Yes black box = CDI.

How long has it been since it started ? Might want to pull the carb and clean everything if it's been sitting.

3200km shouldn't be acting like that

Another thing I learned the hard way to get my old Polaris Trail Indy to start is remove the 1/4" plug at the bottom of each cylinder, then with the spark plugs out try turning it over and see if any heavy pre mix oil to flow out .
Then replace the 2 plugs and try the wd-40 trick again.

The Sea Foam I wouldn't use unless it's running and is,warmed up I've used it in old V8's that have a carb and watch the black smoke roll then !
