Anyone catch where the CDC said yesterday it's not a case of "if", but "when", Covid 19 will outbreak in the US?

Not surprising after hearing Senator Cotton's remarks yesterday about how 1,500 people flew directly from Wuhan into NY in Jan. And, that 20,000 plus were flying out of China into the US daily during January.

How about the Americans in self-quarantine at this very time? California had 8,000 reported yesterday. There have been other reports in other states, though much smaller numbers.

All of these news reports and others were presented yesterday at TRUNEWS.com, for those interested.

how do you know if you have kung fu flu and not a cold?

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Good question. They don't have a test that works. They don't have the same testing guidelines. They don't know how it transmits. They don't know the incubation period. About the only thing I've seen about the differences is, there are some symptoms that are similar to the common flu, other symptoms of the flu don't appear with covid 19. No test is effective basically. Once you move into critical, the covid virus attacks the lower lungs and fills them with mucus. This is a major difference between it and the normal flu. Covid attacks the body differently than the flu. Also, if you catch covid 19 a second time, it's almost always fatal. One of those things they don't mention much, but China announced it a few days ago.

I read yesterday that Singapore has developed a protocol that actually "cures" people in about 48 hours. That's encouraging if correct

The other day I heard one big difference is if a person infected with the regular flu touches something and an unaffected person touches the same object within 48 hours the virus is still viable. With the coronavirus, it's rate of infection can last up to 9 days. Plus, it's air-borne.

I don't care how nice the hand soap smells, you should never walk out of the restroom sniffing your fingers.

That'd be fantastic if it is proven effective. Sure hope something is found soon. Big pharma is racing to be the first to come up with something. The stuff they're talking about testing now is all stuff from SARS and Ebola. How either of these match-up in any form genetically is beyond me. Just the idea that they're testing these old formulas on this new virus suggests that there's the hand of man involved with the new virus.

No. That's N. Korea. Their cure is much quicker.

Coronavirus now on 6 of 7 Continents

Every continent except Antarctica has reported coronavirus cases
Brazil announced its first case of coronavirus today, marking the first time the virus has been reported in South America.

The coronavirus outbreak — which started in the city of Wuhan in China — has now spread to six of the world's seven continents. It has not yet reached Antarctica.

Here's a look at the virus across the world:

Africa: Algeria confirmed its first case of coronavirus yesterday. Egypt has also reported a case.
Asia: The vast majority of cases — and deaths — are in mainland China. Cases have been reported throughout Asia, with concentrations in South Korea and on board a cruise ship pocked in Japan. In the Middle East, Iran has reported least 139 cases. The total official number of deaths due to coronavirus in Iran stands at 15.
Australia: The country has confirmed a total of 22 cases of the novel coronavirus as of Saturday, officials said.
Europe: Europe's biggest outbreak is in Italy, where over 320 have been infected and 12 have died.
North America: At least 59 Americans have tested positive for coronavirus, US health officials say. Cases have also been reported in Canada.

I got a cold. Woke up last night shivering. I like my bedroom window open a little for fresh air. Have a quilt my wife made us with heavy wool inside for insulation. Was not that cold last night. 28 or so. I shut the window and quit shivering. Must have had a little fever. Feel better today.

If that virus is here, if there is no real test, if people die of flu every year any way, whats the point of worrying about this one? Doesnt sound like the death rate is any higher. I am suspicious of the report that people die with the second infection. You would think if you get it and heal up you would then be immune to it.

On the news they said it was coming, to be ready for it. Then she said not to rush out and start stock piling food and stuff. So what do they mean get ready for it. I guess avoiding crowds is about all I can do. If I do that then I need to get whatever I need for a couple months now. I already do that to an extent, maybe need vitamins, gloves, mask etc. I have had two types of flu and my wife never has had it. We neither one had shots, but she takes vitamins and probiotics and is a germ freak and constantly uses hand cleaner. We are already talking the first case within our area to close church. I hope the sun starts shinning soon and it warms up- at least its hope. Where is global warming when we need it? Oh yeah its probably causing it. Maybe thawing out those woolly mammoths that had it and those Chinese are eating them.

Check out Steve Bannon's interview with Simone Gao a few days ago. I don't think Mr. Bannon has an interest in bringing down Trump. Maybe unwittingly an accomplice? I doubt that too. I don't doubt the media will use covid 19 and the stock market in an attempt to bring down Trump. Interesting point of view by Rush, if he's wrong though, he's really wrong.

Nothing to worry about. Get through March, and as Trump tweeted the virus will go away in April.

Alfred E. Neuman would be proud.

Read something the other day that people with bad immune systems don't have any immunity for the second infection. Also read that your immune system may actually attack your body and kill you. I caught the flu in '95 and in a couple weeks lost feeling in both arms and hands and both legs and feet. The neurologist told me he had no pills for it that our nervous system is like electric wires with insulation on them and if my immune system ate the insulation off them then eventually they would grow back, which they did in 2 yrs. Had it ate the wire clean into then there was no repairing them. So every time I get sick, in the back of my mind I hope not again.

An underling/anti-Trumper from the CDC claims we're on the verge of a pandemic. Of course the media obliged and ran with it. That's if anyone said it at all.

I think it’s going to very much take a strong hold here in the states in upcoming months. Not worried about me just don’t want to see my kids suffer from it. Is what it is. Who the flip goes to China and then wants to run back home when the Kung Flu starts killing folks. Keep yalls but over there. Play stupid games win stupid prizes now we all gonna get a taste of the Kung.
