The article and video mentioned main motor failure and possibly trying to keep from getting sucked through the dam with just the trolling motor. The water looked high and was really moving through the dam.

If that's what happened it must have been horrifying.

To be honest, Having any tournament on a flooding river system is a bad idea. To have a HS tournament is really bad thinking.

I pray they are found. Hopefully alive, but that is not likely now. having lost my own son in 2002, I know how the parents feel. Not having the bodies to bury would be so much harder. For the loved ones of not only the teenagers, but the chaperone also.
