Does anybody have any input on these rifles. I'm thinking of picking up a b14 ridge rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor

I do not have that model but a HMR in a 22-250 built for stout. Nice trigger. Smooth action bolt. Shoots well after finding a bullet I like and it likes lol.

Have a buddy that has one in 6.5 and topped it with a Swarovski. He shot a doe right at 450 yards just to see what it would do...dropped her on the spot. Nice gun, but HEAVY. Definitely not something to take on a hike.

You might want to Google up some reviews of this rifle. I recall reading one review of a Bergara bolt-action that complained about accuracy--like 2.5 inch 100-yard groups.

A friend of mine, Stan, has one on backorder. He was supposed to have it close to 2 months ago. Its supposed to be a really nice gun. There may be a long wait to get one. We are going to use it with a military grade scope, that transmits the image from the gun to your goggles, to shoot coyotes and wild boar at night.

I have a b-14 in 6.5 Creedmoor. Love the gun. Have about 350 rounds through it so far. Like stated above once you find the bullet it likes it shoots like a dream. I shot several different loads and bullets that were sub MOA but ended up going with the Hornaday 143 grain ELDX. Shot under and inch at 300 yards before deer season started. Took a doe with it that never moved out of her tracks at 250 yards and then took it to Colorado and got a nice cow elk at 364 yards. She ran about 50 yards and piled up. I know 3 other people who also shoot bergara rifles and I have heard no complaints about any of them. Basically a Remington 700 action with a bergara barrel and adjustable trigger. I chose it over a new 700 and am glad I did.

I have the LRP or whatever model has the envy chasis. One is the 6.5 Creedmoor and the other is a .308. They shoot amazingly accurate. I put high dollar glass on both. NF ATACR 6-24-56 FFP with Tremor2 Reticle. The thing I love about their barrels in these two calibers is they will shoot anything I load in them. I am hunting with a Barnes 130 grain in the .308. I shoot the 127 Barnes LRX that I handload in the 6.5. The 6.5 I have shot from 100 grain pills up to 147 grain pills. They all shot sub half MOA.

Maybe I'm confused about the brand of rifle I read about with accuracy problems. Is Bergara the one that's made with a Lothar Walther barrel?

I have a b14 hunter in 7mm that shoots half MOA 3 shot groups with the load I developed for it, as long as I do my part. I did bed the action but I do that to all my rifles. Most of my hand loads shot under 1 inch. Bergara rifles use a button rifled barrel than Bergara makes themselves. I have been very impressed with mine!

I have a premier hmr pro in 6 creedmoor. It really likes the hornady 108gr eld match bullets. When working up a load 3 out of the first 6 loads I tried shot under 1/2" 3 shot groups. Best was .37". They guarantee out of the box sub MOA groups with factory ammo. Bergara sends a 3 shot group from the factory that was shot with each premier rifle not sure about the other rifles. I believe mine was .636 at the factory. Shot it at 975 just to see how it would group. It shot a 10.5" group with only 2" variance in elevation. We have a life size coyote at 600 and it is almost boring shooting at it. If the shooter does his part you'll hit it every time. This is my first bergara but definitely won't be my last.

I have a B14 HMR in 6.5 that shoots really good. Have shot a 18"x18" plate out to 1200 yards. At 400 yards I have shot a 2 1/2" 3 shot group.

Bergara barrels used to (maybe still are) made in Spain. I believe the rifles are made in Alabama.
