We used cover hulls on the bobcat line this year. In the woods they look pretty natural. But mine aren't cleaned, and rodents are attracted to the buckwheat flour. I like peat moss, or chopped grass clippings normally. Maybe we complicate it too much. I've caught plenty of critters with just leaves over the trap.
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

It seems to me if you use peat moss you need to top dress It with local dirt to keep It from blowing away and to make It look natural. It seems to me mixing dirt with the moss defeats the reason for using peat moss. Mixing dirt with peat moss will just absorb moisture and you don't want that.

when you have freeze and thaw and snow and rain the best thing to do is go ice fishing !!! , but if you want to catch fur use cable Very good point .I resisted that for a long time .In PA we are allowed to use Cable Restraints if certified . When the bad weather hits they are still in operation
