In winter plow a few driveways and harvest as much firewood as I can for home and selling. Year round sell used super sacks / totes.

Forever in debt to my Father who introduced me to trapping.
May I be half the man he was.

I did hauling moving with my pickup for a side gig for about a year. Made great money. Got to the point that I almost quit my day job. I was making a couple hundred cash (yes I claimed it) a night 3-5 days a week.

I do some occasional work for the farm but I get paid in meat.

Mow yards, referee high school basketball, used to do softball. They say volleyball is where its at, as you dont have to move and there is a pretty bad shortage. Money games at the golf course, fix computers

I try to do this as much as time will allow with a 3 and 5 year old. If you know your stuff can make some decent money. My latest couple scores was a Cutco knife for $.25 that I sold for $55 and a sewing machine spent $2.50 and sold for $145. It has definately gotten harder with all the picker shows and such now. A lot more people trying to do it so you have to be quick to the sale and auctions are a crapshoot.

I trap for fur and don't quite break even, I collect and sell maple syrup and make a bit, I had beef but have gone to meat sheep and basically get meat to eat, raise a lot of produce and give most I don't need away, so I am busy but don't make any real money. I had a side Ag based financial consulting business for 9 years and that made a good profit but when my heart was diagnosed to be bad I discontinued. If I knew my recovery would have been as good as it was I would have kept that going. I would make more profit then all the above in half the time with basically a laptop and some paper, toner, printer and licenses and training as expenses.

In the late winter if the weather is nice and into spring I make tomato cages from galvanized cattle panels. Kinda pricey …. but their the best. I also tinker in the shop making wood duck, wren, bluebird nesting boxes or sometimes I do some fabricating of old iron or new steel into something somebody wants. I do a little guiding for whatever someone want to be doing... for pay. Also do some nuisance trapping in the local area. Except most don't want to pay for removing some critters. [Linked Image]

Hoping not to start a side as i'm just pulling the trigger April 30th.
Been planning a wilderness moose hunt in Sept 2020 for 20 days in northern BC.
my job killed all my time to go hunting at great places.'
gonna keep my on the ideas you have posted, so afterwards a can "try" to get a bit back.
