Sure are enough potholes up here too! Hard to drive without loosening a filling or two! smirk

Our local paper (Lakeland Times in Minocqua) has nicknamed our Governor Tony Hole because of the road conditions and cutbacks in maintenance funding. They are featuring a pothole of the week where subscribers are submitting photos for publication. There is no shortage of candidates, Pretty funny but the roads are horrible.

They might be blaming Tony now, but I don't recall there ever not being some pot holes.. Can say seems to be more a bummer crop in last several years though..
I broke cords in a tire last spring hitting one them hole had to replace a tire.. When I had two new tires put on front truck. Shop guy told me they had the alignment rack booked out for days..I only got on it because I bought the tires bummed me in line..They said they were seeing all kinds broken suspension parts. So guess them pot hole are good for the economy in some ways??? Seems to slow traffic just a bit to making thing safer I'm sure..

Cool picture Nessy.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Large pot hole on a highway here last week. We barely missed it, and there were 3 Sherriff cars and 6 cars farther down the road parked, we were thinking pretty bad accident. All of the cars had destroyed or missing left front wheels.. If you would have hit it on a bike it would have killed you,an hour later it was filled in. We were curious as to how it could have opened up and got that large so quick, it was on a bridge.

IN western Mt. we would call it spring breakup. Entire sections of highway would be missing, not just a pothole here and there. You could tell how much of the highway was missing by watching the vehicle in front of you to see how bad it bounced! If no car in front, then you would look for hubcaps and mufflers. I'm talking sections of highway 30 feet long, sometimes!

The protest signs seem to be working . And there was me wondering why they put those " END ROADWORK" sings up

Let's go Brandon

"Shall not comply" with morons who don't understand "shall not infringe."
