Dawnvilledawg OP trapper D Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 37 Georgia	Our Wildlife biologist (Forest Service) asked me if I ever caught a spotted skunk. I never saw one before. After going online, I believe Alabama makes trappers release them. I didn't realize they were so rare in the southeast. I'm guessing they are more plentiful in other states.?

Law Dog trapper Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 34,872 Central, SD	Several ongoing studies on them now in IA and TX that I know of I believe it’s a habitat issue some think farm chemicals but if you find a place full of thick cover, buildings or vehicles civets will be around. Have seen/caught them in remote creeks areas they can climb like a squirrel no problem. Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that! Jerry Herbst
