Has anyone ever used them? Not a bad looking trap. But never handed one to see how it is built. Like the dogless trap . But wanted to find out about them before I bought a few too see. I know u get what u pay for. It mite be a trap to use on public land.

I bought a half dozen each of 2s dog on, and dogless. I personally like the dog on models, but I have no other experience with dogless. They are a sturdy built trap, I can say that! I also bought them after season, never been in the ground, so can't speak as to a catch yet. I am probably going to get some more before next season (dog on), so I guess I would recommend.

I know for the price. I seen dogless #2 offset 2 coil for 7.25each. Are they base plated? Not a bad looking trap. The dog on looks like a duke?

Not plated, riveted, I welded mine. Literally just got snapped with a dogless, trying to figure out how to rig for insulation under the pan and night latch. I will most likely not buy dogless anymore, but I love the dog on model...not much room to outside laminate though. Traps are identical, other than the pan/dog.

I have some regular jaw 2s and 3s and some offset 2s. All dogless models. I have baseplated and laminated them now that our season is over....I didn't have any issues prior to modification. I just finished year 2 with reg jaw and bought the offsets toward end of this season. I caught coons, coyotes, and bobcats in them. They will hold a possum just fine too. I will continue to buy them as I need. No issues with them and like the fact that once they are set for tension and travel (small amount of file work) you are done messing with them.

Once I started setting them "dog" side toward me, they are easier to set for me than the few dog on traps I have.
