Boy named Sue , thanks for the comment , but I decline , I don't win. The original question was ' what was the first concert you went to ? " I don't remember. I know I have been to Kiss , Queen and 3 BÖC concerts ( blue fog - BÖC&Foghat , black and blue - BÖC&Black Sabbath and a covert BÖC concert playing under their sudamem ' soft white underbelly ' ) I didn't save the ticket stubs for those concerts. Not sure which one was first. Also have seen Rush and Bachman Turner Overdrive.
I did however come real close to going to Woodstock. Yep , the original Woodstock. I was very little. A couple of my mom's coworkers were going. They wanted to take me as their mascot. It was going to happen , at the last minute my mom put the kabosh on it. She was REAL glad after it actually happened that she said no. No one really knew what it was going to be until it did happen. That would have been one of the coolest things I could have seen as a little boy , but not.

My very 1'st concert was in my middle school in 1976 The Boyz who later became Truck. My 1'st concert of big names was Rush in 1981 at the Capital Center Landover, MD. $9.90 I also saw the Rolling Stones in 1981 on they so called farewell tour. LOL Tickets were $16.50 which was unheard of price gougers at the time. Tickets went on sale at 2:00 A.M. and they announced this on the radio at 1:00 A.M. I was running 90 MPH up I-495 and cars were flying by me like I was stopped.
