I have not heard anything else than you guys. Those tornados hit way out to the west of us towards Nashville. We had some good t storms last night and a heck of a lot of rain and I had to pick a table and some chairs out of the bushes this morning, but other than that all went will this side of TN . Those poor folks in the path of the tornados did not fare as well. Its bad when they hit at night. Over the day people pay attention to the radio and prepare as good as they can. At night they get that nasty surprise in their sleep. I feel sorry for the people that lost loved ones and or their homes.

There is a lot of damage throughout 4 counties, as of right now there is 25 deaths with 19 coming from one county. The weather lady was saying this morning they track that storm for over 200 miles with it touching down 4 or 5 times along the way . They said on the news at 5 this afternoon that there is still people uncounted for in the county that had the most death.

Yep, glad your good Scuba. We have a friend that missed it by one street, he said it was intense.

Sure am glad we did. It got old having to move waterwcrld a couple of times a year and then while in the marina deal with all the headless chickens that think they own the only boat in the world that needs looking after bt are to busy to get down there themselves and do something about it. I have seen waterspouts and tornados down there as well. The were just an added bonus lol. The good thing and bad thing about tornados is that you don't get a weeks worth of warning and the panic for some folks that comes with it.

I live 60 miles west of Nashville, lots of hail damage in my area. We’re lucky, those in Nashville and the three counties need your prayers. I have family in Nashville and Lebanon, think God their ok.

Scuba , do you have hurricane straps like mobile homes do on your houseboat ? Or sufficient windbreaks?

Just wondering because I would think a houseboat on land might be in the same risk category as a mobile home in high winds. Might be worth looking into.

This thing is way to heavy to be moved in a storm She has a welded 1/4" aluminum hull with a flat bottom sitting on some oak stumps. 29 tons of dead weight is not going to budge that easy. We have trees around us that would break the wind pretty well and I cut down the ones that looked a little iffy and to close to the boat. We have had 123 MPH winds during Mathew 4 years ago and made it through that just fine with zero damage to the boat itself ..... My All Canoe got wrapped around an oak tree near 287 and we lost one dock but found two after the storm

A tornado will toss a 300 ton locomotive off the tracks. Not going to tell you to strap the boat to the ground because I'm not sure it would help... But you might look into some kind of tornado shelter if you don't already have one.

What he said. VERY GOOD ADVICE 100% TRUE

I have seen straight winds coming down off Cajon Pass between Bakersfield and Ontario CA flip over semis weighing up around 40 tons.
No such thing as a wind break in a tornado. A hedgerow is just shrapnel
