Ice, lots of stretches and proper posture. Took me almost a year to work thru this last episode. I feel for ya!
I did go to a chiro and he adjusted my feet, ankles and knees. Only went a few times but boy did it help!

Just livin' the dream...and paying full price for it!

Had it some time ago...felt like someone cained the bottom of your feet. In the morning ,after getting up, I had to crawl to the bathroom..

It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.

It is caused by injury and subsequent contracture of the plantar fascia. Keeping the tendon stretched while healing is key. I advise to freeze a water bottle and when seated, roll it under the foot, icing and stretching the tendon at the same time. Nice, raised insoles will keep it stretched while standing. If these don't fix it,, you can go as far as wearing a stretching band to keep the tendon stretched at night as well.

I found the shoe inserts for it were very helpful. Walking in the waders without them made it worse.

I had to go to a foot dr to get some custom insoles made and that cured it 3 months later... broken down work boots caused it... dr said I was close to getting shots in the heel...

You need new shoes with good arch and proper posture. People wear shoes long after the shoes lose their shape. I learned this from my doctor.

I've had it three times. The first time I suffered for months because I didn't do my homework. the next two times I was able to alleviate the symptoms with a couple of weeks doing stretches and wearing an Ossur Formfit Night Splint at night.

I still do the stretches even though I haven't had any pain in years.

I highly recommend the night splint if you want your pain gone as quickly as possible.

Eh...wot?

I battled with it for a year. Bought some orthotics and it slowly went away.

Wore Croc shoes a lot. Had PF bad...when I stepped out of bed each morning...dang! Doc said to quit wearing the Crocs. I did and PF went away immediately.

It's definitely your shoes causing it....get better shoes with support.

does it feel like your standing on an extension cord?

if so yes you have it.

like others said . frozen water bottles , stretching

there are things you can get to keep you toes pulled up twords your knee while you sleep and that can help a lot my doctor made me a splint thing it is a pain to use but does work and I use it when it flares up

good shoes all the time , like you step out of bed into shoes and step out of shoes into bed

replace the shoes before they break down and your feet hurt

Been wearing custom orthotics for 30 years. Don't leave home without them.

I had plantar fasciitis in both feet, I could barely walk. I went to one doctor who did next to nothing and strung me along. I decided for a second opinion... this Doctor told me I would feel much better when I left her office. Cortisone shot in each heel I did! But she followed up with physical therapy, stretching exercises and ordering orthotic inserts for me shoes. She was aggressive and got it done, haven't had a problem with my feet since!(14-15 years)

Let's go Brandon!

Dr. Shcolls inserts (stand on the machine and let it tell you which one) cleared mine out. Stretching consistently keeps it from coming back.

I had it bad for a while. When spent 1/2 of the day on my feet and then stopped to eat walking would hurt terribly for at least 1/2 hr. Also in the morning, the first 10-20 steps hurt.

As mentioned by others mine was caused by cheap foot wear.
For shoes I buy only New Balance and for work boots I buy more expensive well made stuff and have never had it since.
