Haven't tried a bunch, but my Winchester Model 52 likes CCI Stingers. I haven't got a ton of choice here in France.

HP's for me. 28gr. shorts for dispatch, 32-40 gr. for hunting. CCI is my choice of brand of ammo.

Perfect for dispatch rifle or pistol. As quiet as a pellet rifle. Ive used them for years.

Not for distance shooting

Dispatch , CCI quiet not because they are some super deadly thing , but dispatch you have shot placement and typically are very close , not making any noise is a bonus.

anything will work for dispatch , cheap is good , I have a few situations where quiet is good also.

CCI stingers for hunting , I hate squirrels that get into a hole after being shot

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Hunting cci standard velocity segmented hp. They break into 3-4 pieces that exit a squirrel sideways about 3/4 -1" apart. They are expensive at 15c a shot but I mainly hunt with my young boys under 10 and they don't wait for perfect head shots yet. It helps with run offs if their shots are not exactly perfect. Also makes a .22 much more effective on larger game its marginal for.

For targets cci standard velocity. It super accurate has few miss fires and when watching sales and coupon code can be delivered to my door for .5 cents a shot and often a little less making it cheaper than locally purchased bulk pack with lots of misfires.

For dispatch this year since it's always close and we were where noise was no issue. We used some of the random mixed often loose.22 ammo that always seems to get piled up in the even though I have not bought or shot it in years.

I'm have been switching new purchases to all cci standard velocity it is accurate, affordable, has both great target/dispatch bullets lead round nose, and unequalled hunting bullets in the segmented hp. Both have the same point of impact and if noise is ever an issue are quiet yes but pellet gun quite when shot with a suppressor.

I really like the CCI Quiet for dispatch out of my Ruger Single Six revolver or Ithaca 49 Single shot.

I used the CCI Segmented HP for the first time this year for squirrel and it worked excellent. I shot a coyote around 60 yards while squirrel hunting through both lungs and it went down fast. I was impressed.

I like the Remington Sub Sonics for dispatch-as far as hunting-whatever shoots best that isn't standard velocity.CCI makes great ammo-but I am really liking SK stuff theses days-they all seem to shoot really well.CCI AR stuff has been great in pretty well every gun I have shot it in.

Do you get exit wounds? I have not used them on anything that large yet but think they may not exit limiting pelt damage.
