The stamp to send it back is 55 cents, the envelope is around 30 cents, the paper and ink cost a few pennies and the gas to get to the Post Office to mail it over a buck. You might well be in the hole to return the $2.00, not to mention the wasted time.

Why not just not settle up the next time you see them? They won't go broke over $2.00 in the meantime.

Because it's what's right Keith. All those things you mentioned do not enter into the equation. It doesn't matter if it's only a penny that Beav didn't earn, it's still not his penny and the right and proper thing to do is return it. I'd return a penny if it cost me fourteen dollars, why, cause it wasn't mine.

Keith. I consider you a friend and wish to meet you some day, your awesome in my mind. We happen to disagree on this subject matter, it does not mean I think you evil. My upbringing would not allow me to take, even for a period, what is not mine. I see where you would not say naught but settle up later. Perhaps two different paths leading to the same destination. However, in the interim, I would be left uncomfortable.
