Anyone use one? Considering getting one for the upcoming season. I have a b mobile full strut and I dont care for the bulkiness of it. Give me your opinions. Thanks!

I had one. Killed a bird off of it. I thought the DSD jake was better, gobblers seemed to pay much more attention to the DSD. Possibly it was the pose. Anyway I sold the dakota. Dakota's will definitely kill birds.

Maybe I should rephrase that, the size and fragileness with a real fan is what I dont care for.

Doesn’t take much to fool a turkey. Any decoy will work. I’ve killed them over the old foam decoys, b-mobile, avian, Cherokee inflatables and plenty without. If covering lots of ground, I leave them behind. Not worth the weight. If staying somewhat stationary, might pop up an avian these days. Typically don’t even bother these days. Don’t get too caught up in what decoy you’re using. Just try to enjoy the hunt.

I keep desperately hoping that one day someone will call me "Sir" without adding "please calm down" or "you're causing a scene."

real looking decoys will kill way more birds than junk ones. i carry my decoys every where no matter how far.

I was taught by the old timers that had rules. Decoys were not on that set of rules.

So why did you click on this thread, and why are you replying if you have nothing to offer?

The old old timers I talked to used to tether a hen out over a corn pile and let her do the calling. They also poured corn in a trench to get as many in one shot as possible.

Now as far as decoys, DSD jake or hen. I have both and when I used decoys, that lone jake couldn’t be beat or beat up, lol. The decoy probably has enough shot in it to load 5 shells. It’s almost a must for young kids, especially if not in a blind.
