Only the tribe can legally spear gamefish in WI, but the mainly stick with walleyes and muskies.

white17 You are welcome to come and see it first hand. Spearing will close the 15th here. I feel I could spear a limit (5) of 8-12lbs right now. I have found they keep better in the lake than the freezer. I haven't speared a limit of fish in years. I go and watch and could often have a limit and still pass on smaller fish. If I need a fish to eat I will take one or two.

white I am guessing you know how to deal with the cold. I have a spare room at the house you could use. You wouldn't have to sleep on the ice. I pretty much only go when I don't need a heater any more. They are talking in the 40's tomorrow. So it will be sweatshirt weather in the house out of the wind.

white it was sharp yesterday out in the wind. You didn't have to be out in it long to figure out it wasn't fun. I had to take the dog in for shots today. I am planing on going tomorrow. I will try to get more pictures.
