I keep hearing a bunch of crap about there being a toilet paper shortage on the news and Facebook. We went shopping last Friday and everything seemed normal. Are people buying up supplies in your area?

I think the whole threat of Covid-19 is overblown. I also think that the threat of a bunch of people panicking and doing stupid stuff is very real. I might run to Walmart tomorrow and buy 12 guage shotshells, 22 long rifle and 40 and 9 caliber ammunition in case the crap hits the fan, without toilet paper to catch it.

Keith

Berks County PA, I went to the local store for some stuff today. The TPaper isle was empty (it is a big isle), except for a few dozen "6-packs". The bottled water isle also had a lot of holes. Everything except paper towels, TPaper & water was in normal supply. The six pack of Tpaper were marked $12 but they rang up @ $4 something.

CV-19 causes fever and a cough, not diarrhea. What are people thinking? Too bad CV takes out the old and weak instead of the moronic.

Well maybe that is why they are selling out. People buying it for $4 and reselling at a good profit.

Bruce, I never buy stuff like that, aspirin is usually about it for me, I usually just suffer through it. I think I will go pick up a bottle to have on hand What does it do for you?

I haven't noticed anything weird except a week and a half ago or so the bean and rice aisles were pretty empty for a day. I did have a crazy conspiracy theorist come into work and ask if we sold hand sanitizer. We definitely do not. She said she couldn't find it anywhere in the stores and that it was bought out. She also said because she watches "the real news" she's seen this "pandemic" coming for months. "She's been prepared." I was really biting my tongue from asking her if she was so prepared for this, why hadn't she stocked up on hand sanitizer months ago?

You cant find a roll of tp around here. We have plenty for a while. Whats more concerning is we need baby wipes (soon) for my 11 month old and those were also gone. People are idiots. My wife said both walmart and costco were absolutely packed today. So you have an contagious disease thats airborne, you are freaking out and go stand in line crammed next to dozens of people for a long time so you can buy stuff because youre freaking out about the Contagious disease.

You won't be buying 40 or 9mm ammo at Wally World. No .38, .357, .45 LC, .45 ACP, .380, 10mm .223, 556, 762-39 or .308 either.

It helps clear your lungs.I was near needing medical help to breath from lung congestion. It made a night and day difference.

Keith I would order your ammo off line.watch for coupon codes and free shipping deals. Its nicer having it delivered to your door. I order most of my .22lr sometimes shot shells. I load most every else. Components are cheaper and if stored in a cool dry place have one heck of a shelf life.

I'm always shocked and forget that others aren't as well stocked in this area. I used to get flack and tease but that was before the panic. That stopped when those dishing it out found themselves in need of ammo to hunt with once there box or two ran out.

Buy it cheap and stack it deep. Worst case you saved money because prices will rise and you had the security knowing your covered in that area. You can always use it and it will never loose value un like the stock market.

If thing really get bad you have one high demand trade good.

.22 ammo is still available and relatively affordable where I live. Brand name Band-Aids are gone from the dollar store as is Dasani bottled water. Toilet paper is expensive.

I went to the Kroger in Hebron last night and couldn’t believe the amount of people. People had two carts mostly with tp and bottled water. There was only a few pack of tp left. I have never seen any thing like that before. I can’t lie it did make me wonder who was the crazy one them for over reacting or me for under reacting.

My guess is people are preparing for the event of a mass quarantine like what happened in Italy. TP is one of those things that everybody needs whether you're sick or not, but if you're stuck in your house for 2 weeks, do you have enough?
