Hey guys, one of my turkey hunting spots got logged really heavily this winter, and I’m wondering if you think they will be around this year? I’m pretty sure that their roost got cut down. Will they find another one or move to another woods? Thanks!!

Might not roost there but they'll be wandering through, when they hear a hen. That would be you!

I look for the clear cuts but a first year cut would not offer much like the next few years would offer, mature wood have less growth with the ground shading they give. Once cleared the area will have a rapid growth rate until it thins itself out over time.

I'd say scout it to be sure but so long ad the machinery has been gone for a while they should come back around so long as there is something to eat.
