I just don’t understand how a driverless truck can park, know where to go know what dock to unload at not block parking areas and so on. Wife thinks the truck went from CA to TX on the show.

I'd like to watch a driverless truck pull into a truck stop and refuel, or deal with a 140 vehicle pileup on I80 in Wyoming. We make sure illegals have everything they need for free, but screw the American workers.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Was told that a separate road running parallel with the interstate would have to be built just for the driverless trucks. A driver would take the truck to the interstate and send it on it's way. Then the truck would park in an area by the exit near it's destination and wait for someone to drive it to the place.

Those driver-less trucks maybe safer on highways then some of the drivers that are behind the wheel now days.

I passed several trucks on my drive into Tulsa Friday afternoon... About 6 in a row all pulling Wal-Mart trailers. But instead of being normal "Save Money, Live Better" trailers they were all marked as distribution center trailers. About half of the trucks were WM fleet, the others were independents.
My guess is WM has bulked up their fleet to keep the TP coming.

I bet that is a circus in that country, with the drugged up warm bodies behind every 18 wheeler. I know a few people and they say those oil companies hire anyone as long as they have someone driving those big rigs. I see in the MT news of all the deaths in that area and just about everyone has a semi truck involved and that driver lives and he kills the ones he hits. It is bad enough here in MT, I can't imagine people from all over the US with no experience driving those rigs.
I live 400 + miles west from that area so I don't live close or even go in that area.

Lots of walmart loads are hauled by outside contractors. Some have distribution center dedicated trucks. JB Hunt and Crete have fleets puling their own trailers, dedicated to walmart. Lots of them are not in walmart trailers.
