People may experience:
runny nose
sore throat
cough
fever
difficulty breathing (severe cases)

If you live in a southern state this is the symptoms of allergies season. So how do you know you got it ?

Had all those symptoms last January. Everything but runny nose and difficult breathing.

Sore throat that eventually moves into the lungs.
Dry cough
High fever. That is not controlled by Tylenol.
Difficulty breathing. They say to test it by holding your breath for 10 seconds.

Had those symptoms at the end of January. Influenza test was negative. Doctor never did have an explanation other than I guess the influenza test could be wrong. Most symptoms cleared up with in a week. Cough hung on for a couple weeks. All good now.

Yes. I believe it was here earlier. I had those same symptoms as mentioned above back in Oct. Let it run its course. I told the wife last week I may of had that last fall. She told me I was crazy. That is why I never tell her when I am sick. Lol!!!

6 out of 6 here at the house had something about a month ago.
Only 3 had a fever but dry cough and chest cold type symptoms...
Took my oldest son weeks to get over it. 3 were checked by Dr and said
it wasn't the flu...who knows for sure

Same here. I was in the Bahamas in early February, 3rd day there I got the worst case of chills I’ve ever had. Ran a fever, then a cough. Got through the trip ....still went to the beach and tried to salvage the trip. That was the first week of February, haven’t totally recovered yet. Been trapping beaver and cutting wood, but it’s still hanging on.

Me too. Last week of January/first week of February...

I didn't have any nasal congestion or runny nose until the fever and cough were gone... Felt like my head was filled with mush. I didn't have "shortness of breath" but a jog around the block would've been a tough row to hoe.

I think a lot of people already had it and kicked it.

Uncontrollable defecation apparently is a symptom-why all the TP is gone.

Think I posted on another thread, but it hit down here right after Christmas. My son ended up going (drug in by his wife) to the hospital twice. 103.5 fever and throat so sore he couldn’t swallow. His complaint was he felt so congested in his chest but couldn’t cough it up. He was tested twice for the flu and both test were negative. Hospital said a lot of folks had the same symptoms and no one was testing positive for the flu. Said go home, let the virus run it’s course. Took him about 4 days or so before he got where he could get back to almost normal without losing his breath.

Pretty sure my wife and I had this stuff from mid-November thru almost New Years. I wouldn’t want it again ! Way too much coughing.

Thats one of the symptoms, the urge to buy 4-5 cases of Charmin, 52 loaves of bread, 1 small jar of peanut butter, 6 gallons of milk and 32 bottles of Purell hand sanitizer!!

Was that common in your area? We've had something around here most of the winter, earlier after the first of the year they let school out because of too many sick kids and teachers. I know at least one person ended up in the hospital from it.
