If people get too close just feign a sneeze or two. Problem solved.

It shouldn't take troops in the streets to save stupid people from themselves. The Government issued guidelines seems like a logical choice just to follow them. It shouldn't, but its going too. These idiots wont stay home. When they treat this like a vacation and fly all over the country, and drive all over the state they are the ones that will spread it. Unfortunately they will get it and survive, but they will likely give it to elderly family members who wont survive, and they will have to live with that consequence the rest of their life

Do we really want to save stupid people? I don't care about the stupid people as much as I do the innocent. Drinking and driving is stupid and often results in the drivers death. I work for the DOD at a Depot we still are working with no plans to stop so the govererment is not even following the directive The Govt here sure is...but we are fairly populated here locally. Understandably, this isn't a huge concern to those who live out in Rural America where avoidance isn't an issue. Shouldn't be the same thought process for those cramped in like sardines, however. In the end I hope this instills a little bit hygiene to those who didn't have it before. I'm tired of getting sick in the winter because some booger eating moron likes to lick his fingers, pick his butt, then touch every door handle he can get his get his nasty paws on. And also there are people like this out there that we need to protect ourselves from, no matter if it's Covid or just common colds. I'm actually liking the shutdown/ precautions the govt has instilled here...simply because many people are too stupid to practice a little hygiene and common sense on their own.

I bet when it is all said and done there will be more that died from the swine flu than the kung fu flu in the US. It seems odd to me that China is cured. They are back to work.

I hope you guys that dont think there's anything to worry about are right.BUT if this thing overwhelms the medical system and the more I learn the more I believe there's a really chance it could, a lot of the responsibility will fall on the ones that wouldn't take action and self quarantine for a couple weeks. I'd much rather error on the side of caution with this one. Well said, and the lack of leadership in being pro active by our leader. Not long ago this was nothing but a joke. Now the tune has changed a bit as it should.

Sorry you don't agree. I will be going back and forth to work everyday and if I had to not travel then i would move to my office and stay and continue to work. I would even stay and work if they stopped paying me. What i wouldn't do is accept the government handout or shelter in place. I didn't say anything about going around people, i have practiced social distancing for years now. If you are scared, then by all means shelter away, but i,m not and i won't. I get cabin fever on my 2 days a month that I don't work.

More than 99% of Italy’s coronavirus fatalities were people who suffered from previous medical conditions, according to a study by the country’s national health authority.
After deaths from the virus reached more than 2,500, with a 150% increase in the past week, health authorities have been combing through data to provide clues to help combat the spread of the disease.
Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte’s government is evaluating whether to extend a nationwide lockdown beyond the beginning of April, daily La Stampa reported Wednesday. Italy has more than 31,500 confirmed cases of the illness.
The new study could provide insight into why Italy’s death rate, at about 8% of total infected people, is higher than in other countries.
The Rome-based institute has examined medical records of about 18% of the country’s coronavirus fatalities, finding that just three victims, or 0.8% of the total, had no previous pathology. Almost half of the victims suffered from at least three prior illnesses and about a fourth had either one or two previous conditions.
More than 75% had high blood pressure, about 35% had diabetes and a third suffered from heart disease. Threat to the Elderly
The median age of the infected is 63 but most of those who die are older
Source: ISS Italy National Health institute, March 17 sample
The average age of those who’ve died from the virus in Italy is 79.5. As of March 17, 17 people under 50 had died from the disease. All of Italy’s victims under 40 have been males with serious existing medical conditions.
