I was watching a YouTube video this morning and this ad came on.

What a sad joke.....Can you imagine spending that much money on some clothes just to treat them like trash so you can look cool????

About 10 years ago a buddy of mine was approached in a Farm & Fleet by a young man and was offered $50 for his beat up torn up carhart. Thought he was telling a story....maybe not...

Know how to break in your Carhart.....doing some actual dang work.....

Just wear it a few times. It sure seems like any carhartt I have bought in the last ten years just falls apart by itself.

Seams rip, holes wear through pockets and knees. Pockets rip off. Color fades almost overnight.

Not real happy with them.

I got 1/2 dozen different weight Carhart coats. Went to the hardware store one day wearing the worst of them. Has actually caught fire while I was welding under truck, burned front pocket off and part one cuffs..Had roll around and beat myself..no harm to me just the coat.

Young lady at the check out counter says, "Don't mean to be disrespectful, but looks like you could use a new coat?" I said "No already got new one at home. This is my work coat, just wearing this one so don't trash that new one it's my Sunday go to meeting coat."
I do think Carharts gotten little over priced..I'd sell the burnt one anyone offered me $20...lol The Duluth trading coats may actually be better built. But them ain't cheap either.

there was some pod cast about this my wife heard , she siad we should sell your old coat , it couldn't get more "authentically worn" it's practically a rag.

well no one has offered me any money for it maybe 3XLT isn't the right size for that market

but if I wear it to the city no homeless people ask me for money. even 10 years ago my wife wore it when her and my mother took the kids to Chicago , my mom is getting hounded for money no one said a word to my wife.

So if you get the brown in the front and the yellow in the back..... is that what they call "cross-dressing?"

Bag balm is great. Rubber gloves worn all day is the perfect environment for bacteria and any little cuts or nicks can get infected. Solution-bag balm twice a day. Break in carhartts by wearing them .

Some of you must buy a different grade of Carhart coat. I have one at least 10 years old I wear on the farm every day through the winter. It's still stiff as a board.

That bag balm is goof stuff and so is Obsorbin. It might water your eyes but it works for our own muscle soreness and stiffness even if it was intended for horses.

I grew up smelling like Absorbine Jr... I had to use it so much I got the idea using as an after shave... ONE TIME... never did that again, the girls didn't like it.
