Socialism or what is this called?

This won't be the first time and it won't work any better than it did the other times !

Socialism would better be defined in America when the government chooses which companies are too big to fail and bail them out.

I'd rather see everyday working folk be given a shot in the arm than more corporate welfare if the government is set on doing something.

Maybe if we bought everyone a new phone...….

I'm going to spend my $2000 on oil when it hits $2 a barrel. Sell it after the next election and pay off all my debt.

It would be much more beneficial if the money was in the form of short term loans to businesses rather than to individuals. Likely to end up spent on heroin and tattoos if it goes to everyone.

Another idea would be to eliminate taxes for 2019 altogether. OR, allow individuals to borrow a portion of last years income from the IRS and repay it next year.

I am completely against checks to individuals It just isn't efficient

If they're gonna go in on Socialism why not reduce the student loan debt, or eliminate it all together and then the younger kids would become consumers.

A lot of people have a problem paying for a college education that they never got , while those who got it pay nothing.

I understand. I just think like you about sending checks to everyone. Sure there's the good ones out there that will pay there bills and keep the home going, as they should but that doesn't give the economy a big boost, maybe helps to keep afloat. And, none of us that would get a check earned it either. If you paid the student debt, you would see a huge jump imo, in consumers, specially when the crazyness calms down.

I believe Trump suspended or lowered interest rates on student loans yesterday. Something along those lines.

I would rather see businesses supported so they can REMAIN in business and not layoff employees .Once this is over those businesses need to be able to jump right back where they were with their workforce intact.
