Pills will cure a bacterial infection but not a virus. Also the "fact" that it "cures" another corona virus means nothing.
just Antibiotics cure bacterial infections. This "pill" is not an antibiotic. If it in fact cures another corona virus, it does mean something. If it works on a virus, it may be effective on this virus.

LLL No Larry I am not a Dr. Neither are you. And I'm not drunk. How about you. Just go to CDC & or WHO websites and read. Real Drs there. All of them know more than anyone on this site. Common knowledge about antibiotics and bacterial infections.
Pretty obvious that if it works on one virus it certainly does mean something. Might work on another.
And I'm not a doctor either, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn.

just How much of an expert do you need to be to know that antibiotics are for bacterial infections? How much of an expert do you need to be to conclude that if a certain drug works on one carona virus it might work on another?

The medicine Trump removed the red tape from yesterday is the same medicine my wife takes for her Autoimmune Disease. The good thing is she doesn't need to worry about Coronavirus, the bad thing is there is becoming a shortage of it. Luckily her doctor is smart about it and knew it was a way to fight it and got the pharmacy to fill both outstanding prescriptions so she has enough for the next two months. I'm glad we have a President who listens to advise from the experts and lets then do their job instead of putting red tape on everything.
If traps work like the Antis say......I would have no fingers.

. How long has this particular virus thing been going on? 3 months? Probably more? With 5 or 6 modern countries trying to find a cure and you think NO ONE has thought of trying a old drug? Cmon use your heads.

just In trumps press conference he said that china , france ,italy had ongoing studies that were showing promise .Its the main anti malarial drug and a powerful anti inflammatory drug . I bet there is a strategic reserve of it in several govt/milatary warehouses .

According to the FDA, the "possible" side effects include, headache, loss of appetite, diarrhea, hair loss, skin rashes, and mood changes. All of these are a better alternative than death.
We are told not to judge all Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but are told to judge all gunowners by the actions of a few.

There is another drug they feel might be effective in eradicating the virus. I heard the name on the radio yesterday when Hannity was talking to O'Reilly. It started with an R is about all I know. I caught the tail end of the conversation.
