We didn’t go hard like usual and I got a load to learn down here. I still cabled more reds than foot trapped but we had fun learning greys. Really neat seeing color variations in the greys. Otter came natural, I’m used to catching those outta state when I was up in nj. Was nice targeting them instead of avoiding them like in Jersey.

Otter were great. Color not so much but size phenomenal. My biggest here was 48” nose to skirt and 67” overall

We finished with rats and beaver and got quite a few black rats I’m not used to. And we started late here as the boy wanted to do some deer hunting here. He got his first Maryland whitetail in late archery after stalking him along a cornfield after I noticed the deer setting fox traps that day. He stuck him at less than 15 yards in the briar patch.

Not sure why photos are sideways. Sorry guys

The big boy. Never had one quite that size . He’s a hog on the board. Might just keep that one.

Good to hear pcr. Beaver here were either hatters or really surprisingly nice. I didn’t really try for many though

Nice looking greys there in the eastern shore of Md. You all have some big bucks in some areas as well. Didnt catch a single grey here in Virginia where I trap. Four reds, four coyotes and three bobcats with a bunch of beaver and coon but no greys. I dont know if the coyotes have been hard on them or what. Yours sure look nice.

They did look great. Once we figured out their habitat we pretty much knew which traps would be greys vrs reds
