I'll bring a gallon of hand cranked ice cream to go with a slice of that!
First glance I thought them was possum tracks on the crust.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

If anyone wants to try a pie, this is what I did:
4 cups of blueberries, raspberries or whatever you have. Get a mixing bowl and add 3/4 cup of sugar, 7 tablespoons of cornstarch, 5 with raspberries, blueberries have more juice. Add 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon and a 1/4 teaspoon salt. I use pillsbury ready made crusts that you just unroll and use. Grease your pie pan and put a crust in the bottom. Pour in your 4 cups of berries and then spread your mix over the top of the berries evenly. Cut a tablespoon of butter into small pieces and put them around on the top of the filling. Then add your top crust and fold it over the bottom crust and press down and crimp the edge. Cut some vent holes in the top crust to your liking. Bake on lower rack for 45 minutes at 375 degrees.

I'll have to admit your pie looks better, but this is what I've been cooking up.

My peanut/sunflower seed and peanut butter suet.

Flipper next time try a home made pie crust . 2 2/3 cups all purpose unbleached flour , some kosher salt (I do by eye , maybe a teaspoon or so) , about 1/2 to a whole tablespoon of sugar and ( for apple pie also add a teaspoon or so of cinnamon) combine with one cup of butter flavored crisco . Get to about cracker crumb size and add 7 to 9 table spoons of ice water . Combine well and roll up into kind of a tube shape in plastic wrap . Let it sit for a while at room temperature , maybe an hour or while you're getting the filling and oven ready .You can also refrigerate it over night . Just make sure its at room temperature when you go to roll it out . It makes enough crust for top and bottom . In many cases it makes the pie lol . Also another tip for those that are interested , brush the top crust with whole milk before baking . The sugar in the milk caramelizes and makes a rich golden color on the crust .

Flipper,

When you're eating that pie, make sure you don't splash any of that filling up on your forehead....... "Your tongue will slap your brains out tryin' to get to it!"

Looks great and super artwork in the lid.

GT, when the suet is rendered down by heating, it holds everything great when it all cools , the other ingredients mixed in. Cutting it in chunks is easy too.

Beautiful pie, and leaf art, Flipper.

I saved some store bought suet cake pans. The plastic kind.

I spray the pans with Pam then pour in the suet.

Let them cool on the counter till firm then freeze them. When frozen I put them in sandwich bags and put them in the freezer.
