Just need to try and clear the air here on the pick up routes! When some of us recieved the email yesterday, it said the routes for the LRD on Apr 19 were canceled. That was incorrect language! It has been postponed a couple weeks so the kung flu thing can get worked out better. They are planning on letting us know in 4-6 days how the rescheduling dates will be in place. The May sale may be delayed, but they have to look at the big picture so they are not stepping on toes of the other auction houses in the rest of the world. They are also thinking of putting younger guys in the trucks to run routes, so some of us agents that are old farts are not so apt to get exposed, is what was said. Please be patient while we get this figured out so we can get around and get your fur picked up. This may apply a bit differently in other parts of the country, my routes are southern Mo, Ks and Ne. Any questions, please call or text. 785-313-1905. Thank you!

Lol. I literally just got done packing one freezer taking a break before packing the next. Maybe I'll wait a little bit. I'd really like to see some results of a sale first. Thanks Lee

Well, that gives you a little more time. They are having an on line auction, because there were a bunch of manufacturers were that were needing skins and planning to buy at the Mar sale. This gives them that chance. The rest that don't sell will be added to the later sale. I ask Greg what he thought the coons would do at the sale, he said they are gonna go with a thirty dollar basis, and see how it goes.

I don't like holding fur over. Just something else to worry about and extra work. But I'm perfectly comfortable doing it for a couple of years. I don't care

Count me in as one who would like to see some results before sending more.

Lee, the wording in the FHA release used POSTPONED and CANCELLED.....POSTPONED in the title and CANCELLED in the first sentence.

Quote
ALL FHA FUR PICK-UPS POSTPONED
Effective immediately all Canadian and United States fur pick-ups are CANCELLED.

Thank you for clarifying your understanding.

Would be nice if FHA would do another release with a better explanation.

Yes, but it won't be a live auction. It starts on the 24 and goes till Apr 2nd. I guess it will be kinda like ebay! I don't think you can watch it.

I guess I don't understand The comment about $30.00 coon. Is that a pre sale evaluation?

Beav: What comment about $30 coon? I stand to be corrected but do not see on this thread.

Kind of wondering the same thing, because I'm not exactly sure what "basis" means, $30 Canadian or us. It's all with a grain of salt. You got to start somewhere it'll all come out in the wash. I'm just looking forward to seeing something happen

Saying Thank You Lee seems so plain and not nearly enough for clearing this up so I decided to teach you how to trap opossums (a valuable skill known only to a few)............................ your "previously" favorite "Low Lot" trapper.!

The basis is what the top end would bring, but not the top lot . So Trapperne is basiclly right. Gives them a place to start. Thank you, Wife grin
