Not really sure about this.
I am a welder in a forklift factory. We were deemed essential and we will be working, pretty much no matter what,or so I think. I don't know what to believe anymore about anything I hear on the news. I know the Lord will make things work - he ALWAYS does.
That being said, where do you work and what is your company doing during this time?

I work at Lowes and unless they shut down essential businesses, we'll be working.

Relax!

It will all be over in a month or so. That is unless we all panic and create our own crisis.

Most anyone can survive a month without income, but, HEY, you might even get a grand from the government.

Relax, enjoy, work if you can. If you can't: get some of that stuff done that you didn't have time for because of work.

Hahahahaha, essential..... hahahahaha!
I have been fuming about your recent posts but now I see there is no need to. If you keep working and deem Lowe’s essential, you have no reason to chastise anyone about their actions!

Essential?

I'm over 65, and therefore very non-essential. I heard they are going to round a bunch of us up and use us as test subjects for possible vaccines.

I believe all businesses that are owner run with no other employees are exempt from closing.

that would be common sense.

It describes, exactly, my wife's home beauty shop.

Governor Walz shut it down instantly with the stroke of his pen. Failure to comply is a misdemeanor complete with a $1000 fine and/or 90 days of imprisonment.

Because the bars are closed.

On top of that....where else are you going to find the major ingredient to make your hand sanitizer?

We fall in the expendable category.

walleye101 is absolutely correct. That grand is something we ain't got to hand out. But, that's an issue for another day. This is war, and extreme measures are necessary.

Owner operator of a dump truck. No work right now, supposed to be my busy time from a month and a half off. Just going into my 2nd year in business for myself. I hope I get back to work soon.

I think using blood, plasma or other blood related samples from elderly would be good to do research on. Due to protein related issues due to age and other compromising health issues the virus attacks those of us in that category the hardest. Doing R and D on those samples may help find a vaccine or vaccines faster.
