In a since I don't think any outdoor sport or art is ever safe anymore. That is why we as sport people need to get young people involved in the outdoors. But at the same time let the know they have to learn how the system works and how to protect there activity and others.

The way Trapper Art traps, it is an art.

T&T: What is the key to living a long life as a trapper like you have?

Art: Well, I think being successful helps a lot. The real key is staying active. I’ve had both knees replaced, both shoulders replaced, a fused ankle, and a fused back, and I’ve never thought about stopping. You have to keep doing the things you love.

Haven't seen Trapper Art for a few years now. His place is slightly closer to Cornell than Bloomer. His son in law has taken over the business, which is now located on Hwy 64, east of Bloomer.
