Some fun facts ? trying to visualize a trillion People have a difficulty conceptualizing a trillion dollars. Here are some stats and visuals to help. Please memorize at least ONE of these to share with friends. The United States is 14 Trillion+ in debt.
A million seconds is 12 days. A billion seconds is 31 years. A trillion seconds is 31,688 years.
Add 500 Feet >>>> 1 trillion
———————————————————-
-If you had gone into business on the day JESUS was born, and your business lost a million dollars a day, day in and day out, 365 days a year, it would have taken you until October 2737 to lose just ONE trillion dollars.
-It would take a military jet flying at the speed of sound, reeling out a roll of dollar bills behind it, 14 years before it reeled out one trillion dollar bills. (this one sounds far fetched to me)
-In $1 bills stacked would measure 67,866 miles, stretching approximately 2.72 times around the Earth’s equator.

Inflation will explode. Things that used to cost a dollar will cost 100 dollars.

The corona virus to the economy is like the spark was to the Hindenburg. It revealed a catastrophic vulnerability.

Inflation will explode. Things that used to cost a dollar will cost 100 dollars. A 20$ gold piece in 1930s will still buy the same amount of goods. How do you think they will get out from under the debt other than inflate it away? I'm not sure how or where it will end but I am certain it will not end well for 90+% of the population.

And we're about to add another trillion to it with the swipe of a pen, and we're all supposed to be happy about it. Hurray? I like to look at it as "repatriating" the dollars.

The corona virus to the economy is like the spark was to the Hindenburg. It revealed a catastrophic vulnerability. It might have revealed it to you.Debt backed currencies don't tend to end up very well.

I don't think the examples above help the average person to relate what a trillion dollars is. Most people can not take a two hundred mile trip with out GPS anymore as they can't read a map or really know if they are going north, south east or west. Doing taxes for people for nearly 35 years showed me that many people have extremely limited financial management capabilities and little desire to learn much about getting better at doing so and this was not limited by gender, age or education level. With debit cards, credit cards and zero down and monthly payments for almost anything many never really knew how much they had in real liquidity or monies available for use in the next weeks or months.
Bryce im sure thats true bryce..... i bought my little farm in 92 . 38 acres . payed 125k dont remember the exact numbers but i had a little stash think i had to finance 97k with 87 first and 10 on a second.....i worked my tail off and nearly lost it a cpl times... but finally got it paid for. meanwhile the rest of the world was building new 250 k and up driving new pkups living large im still scratchin my head how the rest of the world is doing it!! i have about 100 t of good scrap processed and ready to ship... that has always been my age in hole. didnt sell anything last yr and dont look like is worth anything in near future... oh well om gonna go to work monday morn n haul home what ever is left over ...i got plenty of work under contract if i can get my crippled old bones to get it done !!
