I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Because then the medical field would not only have to deal with the virus, but a whole lot of people going through alcohol withdrawals all at once. They're being taxed enough with the panic going on over this. They don't need more piled on them.

Not sure if you've even seen someone go through them, but they make some drug withdrawals look like a picnic.

As public school teachers we worked last week and now this coming week. We are doing what we can to transfer all of the curriculum to an online format. Roughly 10% of our students don't have access to internet or a device for online work. Anything we send home cannot be returned to school due to the possibility of being contaminated by the virus. After next week, we will be working from home 3 or 4 days a week and teaching our students via online platforms like Google Classroom, Google Hangout, Facetime, Skype, etc. We likely won't be able to take grades for 4th quarter and the president just gave a waiver for state/national testing for students this year. I'm not sure that we're considered "essential" as teachers but I can imagine there would be a lot of parents pulling their hair out if their kids didn't have anything to do for 2 months and were just bouncing off the wall.

FYI Amazon is not excepting new inventory from sellers for everything except for, food ,medicals supplies, cleaning supplies and pet supplies.
Third party sellers will still sell a lot the items but, might not find it on prime, or out of stock. A lot of pead off sellers shut down because of it.
I got lucky.

I work at a Aluminum smelter/rolling mill. It comes in oar(sp) and leaves ready to be stamped into cans and food containers.we have our own power plant. We will not shut down and will probably continue to be able to wright our own checks with overtime as usual.

Truly not a thing has changed for us except gas prices are cheaper and every egg or farm products produced is in demand and can be sold instantly. I was literally waiting on hens to drop eggs so I could finish an order.

We stay prepared so would be little affected. Add in my blessing of a job and foresight on preparedness and we will do well. Hopefully we will be in the position to help others.

Many other are not in the same boat. Much of is self inflicted by living large and not saving, planning, or preparing. Rather living like it was the roaring 20's. Think the grasshopper and ant parable.

Other genuinely got caught in a bad spot like out 2nd year trucker business owner above. I myself nearly reopened my tree trimming business a few times in the last few years. But I would have financed some equipment and as long as things were hopping I would have been great. But I worried we were over due for a market correction ant the coming election year. I'm glad I waited now.

It will take several years to dig out of this hole. The sad part is those with money will be able to take advantage and come out way ahead. Is that sad or just the fruit of labor and sacrifices and living within their means? Not being leveraged to the max and planning. Now that can be rewarded ?

Yep, if a person simply lives within their means and is doing things the right way with little debt things should be ok. Maybe the silver lining of our current mess will be a wake up call to those Americans that live beyond their means and have their priorities shifted. I've lived my whole life in an America that has been awfully plush. I'm thankful to the generations before me that made this country what it is. It seems my generation forgets what it took to get here. Maybe this is a lesson we all needed.

I’m an electrician in a TP factory, both electricians and paper making deemed essential by our governor. We will push forward so you can still enjoy the go.
