The fact that we are trappers/hunters puts us in a rather small fraternity to begin with. But I'm sure there a things within that fraternity that have only been done by a very rare few. Maybe some of you would like to share. I wrote mine below.

A month ago I was getting cleaned up to go with my wife to Salt Lake to see her aging father. She'd run to town to run an errand before we left. I was in the shower when the dog started barking outside the bathroom window. I popped the window open to see a coyote in the field behind the house. $50 bounty here in Utah and the middle of Feb., chances were good the hide might be okay, so I jumped out of the shower, grabbed the .243 out of the bedroom, ran to the french doors in the kitchen, popped them open and made a great 250+ yard shot. I'm curious to know just how small of a fraternity I actually entered into that day. Anybody else here ever shot a coyote buck naked?

My mother in law had the nerve to ask if I had actually hit the coyote or had it died of shock. By the way, the fur was good.

I once was standing in a treestand about 18 feet in the air when I saw a deer coming .I was in the middle of taking a pee into a bottle. When I realized it was a buck I stopped what I was doing dropped the bottle and picked up my rifle from the hook on the side of the treestand and shot the buck I noticed it was a little breezy but that did not affect the flight of the bullet .

Never naked, but in every other condition imaginable, yes. When I was in H.S. My mom called to me out of the bathtub that their was a 4-point buck running across the back of our place, I jumped up got dressed and went to investigate but all I could find was a forked horn. Since it was close to the end of season I shot it.

I shot a coyote out of the bathroom window while taking a dump.It was only a 45 yard shot can't remember what gun it was I normally have one close at hand in every location I spend much time not to mention at least one on my person.

So I guess I was half necked when I shot it.

Since i generally call in the winter, you have given me a challenging new goal. I shall inform my hunting partner of this goal, in hopes he takes the temperature into consideration when he tells the story to others should i get the opportunity.

Ahhh....the ole 'bathroom' gun......lol
Had friends of mine who lived on an estate here in the caretaker's house. Every winter they would take one of the two bathrooms and shut it down for the winter , turn off the water and drain the pipes. They would leave the window wide open with a rifle leaned against the wall. That is how they harvested their venison for the year.

I once found myself with my drawers around my ankles when a nice buck rolled in on me. I still wonder if I had grunted him in inadvertently. My shotgun was nearby, so I slowly waddled over to it, ankles laden with drawers, and shot him. Hard to imagine that he didn't notice my pasty whiteness, nor my awkward gate.
Maybe that's the secret. I'm sure he had never seen such a sight before.
I "grunted" him in.
I "deployed" cover scent.
I "displayed" unidentifiable, seemingly nonthreatening motion.
Of course it all "worked out".

I live in town. If I didn't live in town I am totally willing.

stuck the barrel of the gun out the door when at my aunts house and shot a lot of squirrel but if I care to be invited back I should at least be wearing shorts.

Not naked but I've killed 2 deer with house coat on getting a cup of coffee in the kitchen. Took rest off the coffee maker and shot them out the kitchen window.

Good stories, ha! I was about to pull the trigger on a deer out of my bedroom window once but my someone pulled into my drive and the deer took off. One morning though, I did get woken up by a gobbling turkey. I looked out and didn't see anything so went back to sleep. Thought maybe I was dreaming. A few minutes later I heard him again. I got up, grabbed a shotgun and headed for the door. Tagged out in my underwear from the back door, turkey was 18 steps away.

Friend of mine shot a buck with his bow out the sliding door wearing nothing but his tightie whities. His wife was watching the buck from another room while on the phone telling her mother how beautiful it was.

I landed a 4’ sturgeon in my boxers with my pants around my ankles. Was changing into shorts when it hit. There were spectators and I received applause.

Shot two whitetails one year in just my tighty whities. Both nice head shots. My friends had tags also but never fired a shot so I went ahead and filled my tags.
