Wow that brings back memories. When I was a kid my Grandma ordered from them often. Chocolate eclairs were the dessert we all looked forward to every time we went there. Seen that truck pull into the driveway lots!

Yep, Schwans man calls every Wed and delivers on Fridays. We don't get much, a pizza or a bag of chicken wings and some ice cream!!! Not priced too bad, can do better else where but it's kinda handy.

We have 'em but there is no season on them. Protected species.

I interviewed for them years ago...turned down the job because they said sun up to well after bed time. They told me I'd would only see my kids on weekends. Not a life for me!!!! With the hours they make you run your off time is recoup and honey do time no real time to do family stuff.
Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

There service in our rural area is nothing like it used to be. Very unreliable to say the least. When we saw the Schwan’s man coming when I was a kid. We were so excited we would eat dirt.

Company is no longer US owned. Owned by South Korea Company now. I know a lot of people that had worked for them over the years. It was a great company when it was family owned in Marshall, Mn and done a lot for the surrounding area, but no more. Now we call it the Ice Cream Mafia!

They only come to my house when the mrs orders something. Easy and quick for when you need to throw a meal together fast. Perfect for when we both work late unexpectedly, in normal times. Heat and eat. 2 mini pepperoni pizzas is a perfect lunch.

Still visit us once every two weeks. Great ice cream, quality but expensive other foods. A lot of stuff for quick meals. Feel bad for drivers when I see them early I the morning and still delivering late into the evening.

Central Michigan.
Schwan's do a great school fund raiser. Pre-order, pick up at school on the days that are set for it. The trucks are there most of the days. added sales during drop off and pick up. 2-3 trucks to keep up. It's a plus for those with children in school, participating in fund raisers.
Schwan's discontinued 1 gallon, in several flavors. With Strawberry and Butter Pecan in the list, which caused them to lose business from this house hold.
You can special order large containers.
The drivers have to work there butts off, with terrible hours. We have had good drivers and bad drivers.
Now, we order online for the best deals. For what is considered a deal from Schwans.
Spicy chicken breasts, they are great . Same as the ones at Wendy's.
Egg rolls, you can buy the Schwans egg rolls at Sam's Club , cheaper then off the truck.
There is a delivery charge. I think it is waved , if over a certain dollar amount from on-line sales.
Holiday specials can be good.
The plastic ice cream containers are very useful for the trap line.
Growing up as a kid, The ice cream would come in metal containers, that were suppose to be turned back in.
My take on Schwan's.
