now you just need a bullet that expands well down to 1600fps and you show be slaying those pigs
v-max bullets expand too well from my 300blk pistol pushed about 2150fps , get maybe 6 inches of penetration.
fine for a very well placed shot but never a blood trail.

It wants to shoot Wolfdog, you might look for any additional accuracy in your loading technic. Uniformity in brass, powder charge, seating depth, case capacity, bullet choice etc. Looking at #7 tells me the variance in velocity may be your loading habits. Usually uniformity in ammo makes bugholes if the firearm is capable. How many rounds have been through that rig?

Usually uniformity in ammo makes bugholes if the firearm is capable. How many rounds have been through that rig? yeah I've noticed the grendel is much less forgiving than my other calibers so with this batch I used all FC brass , lubed with a pad deprimed and resized ,tumbled ,trimmed deburred chamfered tumbled again . Primed and double checked for flushness threw about a 26.8-27.1 charge and tricked the rest and tried to seat everything on a CBTO of 1.658. Was originally doing it on 1.667 but had to back off because this gum apparent prefer to jump the rounds a little into the lands . For my humble little set up I think I getting pretty good consistency. I will say though the gun cam probably shoot better but trying to get that little sucker positioned right and not pull shots is a bit more difficult for me compared to my larger rifles

What length barrel? It has been over a year since I was going to assemble one so may be wrong but though you could get 2400fps from a 12". But saying it now seeme wrong I'm to lazy to look it up now. But I do get 2100fps from an 8" blackout with 110gr vmax so maybe I am right? 10.5" PSA
