WW2 resulted in something like 8 million world wide. You're a bit off on the numbers, sir. The Soviet Union ALONE lost more soldiers and civilians than 8 million. United States lost between 400,000 and 600,000 in World War II. w

I know now I was way off but the point is still the same.

Until there’s not. Think our grandkids will have as many hunting/trapping opportunities as we do now? Or less?

The white population (which was more than 90% in 1969) has actually been below replacement rate in this country since then. Our increasing population comes solely from immigration, which is why this country has changed so much. Unfortunately, the baby boomer generation were responsible for the "cultural revolution" which has led us to this point and screwed thier children and grandchilren out of having the same opportunity and abundance that their parents/grandparent had in the 50's and 60's. 1. Where did you get your 90% statistic? 2. Besides middle-class white males, who had great opportunities and abundance in the 50's and 60's? 3. If no "cultural revolution" but everything else stayed the same, what would 2020 look like?

If no "cultural revolution" but everything else stayed the same, what would 2020 look like? 1) Excuse me, between 1960 and 1970 the percentage was between 86% and 87%. That's according to the U.S. census. 2) Everyone. 3) We would have kept our industry, less working dead end service industry jobs, fewer STD's and probably NO AIDS, no mass immigration from 3rd world countries, less poverty, less single parent households (both white and black), less homelessness, less governmental overreach, more family farms, the "cultural revolution affected every aspect of society. If the cultural revolution had not happened nothing else would have stayed the same my friend.

You completely lost me at 2....for no other reasons than voting rights and redlining. I gave up on you at 3 with the mention of "fewer STD's and probably NO AIDS."

Even though it may be bad for the species, growing populations are necessary to make government Ponzi schemes function. It is a catch 22.

In a way too many humans are the same as too many coons in a given area. Distemper wipes the coons out. Crime, starvation, viruses, and wars eliminate some of the excess humans. It is cruel but a fact of life. Life would be better if Trappers ran the world. Lol. All I am saying is, maybe your post is obvious to us, but why isn't it obvious to more people? We as humans think we are so smart, yet here we are ignoring the real cause of most of our issues. At the risk of sounding like a commie (I am not) I think the issue lies with the fact that for capitalism to work a country needs to maintain some level of growth. LOL

Not with todays market-no shortage of the top lot northern fur though. Its not that people dont want to live here, but you gotta be the outdoors type to love it here.Soft people dont do well here, its a tougher type of life here and a lot dont have that anymore. I like the freedom though.I would never live anywhere else. My Daughter left for the city-My son stayed and works at the mine.
