Maybe this is a government conspiracy as well from the CDC. Big bad .Gov making us wear seat belts anyways...
Here are a few crash statistics from 2015 that explain how important it is to buckle up and why doing so can save your life: In 2015, there were 35,092 accident-related deaths 48 percent of those 35,092 weren’t wearing their seat belts when they got into those car accidents. Seat belt use saved the lives of an estimated 13,941 people in 2015. Now, keep in mind that, among people in the United States, the seat belt usage rate is 90.1 percent. Despite the fact that only 9.9 percent of Americans neglect to use their seat belts, those non-users make up 48 percent of the casualties in car accidents.

Jyrd63, you give the example of the tree falling on your car, that could happen I agree. But do you park under a tree during a hurricane? you do chew your food don't you?
Ok let me give you an example of it is "your time to go" A young woman in Lexington ky was walking into her place of employment. She was several months pregnant. After parking in a nearby parking garage she was walking down the sidewalk just outside the structure. Another lady on the 3rd level was pulling into her spot. She slightly bumped the retaining wall anda piece fell striking the pregnant lady on the head 3 stories below. 1 second later OR 1 second sooner and the lady wouldn't have received a scratch. !!!!! It was her turn to go !!!!! NO hurricane or "using common sense" was going to change her fate!! People just need to rely on their faith more when the trails of life are upon us !!

Seat belt laws are supposed to be a state issue, but if the states don't go along the federal government threatens to withhold highway funding. So kinda yes.

LL you are seriously asking people that ! Of course . HECK I'm quarantining now because EVERYHING IS CLOSED !!!! I went to my shop yesterday which is 30 feet out my back door IN MY BACK YARD !!! Did I break my quarantine . NO because I didn't come in contact with anyone.
PLUS LL unless you are really bored (most of us are) let me ask YOU a question.
WHY DID YOU ADD YOUR QUESTION JUST NOW TO ME AS A QUOTE ON MY COMMENT ABOUT IF ITS YOUR TIME????

The 9.9% is probably about the same number that would have been tested positive and went out into the public without regard for their neighbor. The sad part is that wearing a seat belt saves or could save their own life where in the other case they are potentially sickening the 48%. LLL

WELL that won't happen here in KY if you test positive and don't quarantine a sheriffs deputy is posted in front of your house ..... So your question is mute. ALSO if you live in a remote area you can quarantine and not stay inside. ACTUALLY being outdoors is better. You know all that UV light thingy I been talking about .......

Because you have skirted and deflected this whole time and would not answer the simple question and you do know why I asked that question. It is the reason you had not answered. Thanks for at least saying if you had tested positive but showed no symptoms you would self isolate regardless if everything was open or not. LLL

Jbyrd63, You mentioned faith, you know the story about the guy and the flood don't you? three times he was warned, or offered to be rescued. But his reply was "god will provide". when he drowned and got to meet god he asked him "why didn't you save me?". Gods reply was I sent my savior three times and you refused. HA HA thats kind of funny, but was it meant to be funny? We take precautions every day to stay alive, like seatbelts, looking both ways before crossing the street. Some with out even thinking, like chewing your food. I can't see for the LIFE of me why anybody would not take precautions at this time, instead of the attitude well It was his time to go.

It doesn't take a mathematician to look at the numbers for the USA and see that of the people who test positive, slightly over 1percent have died. Figure in the thousands that have it that were not tested and that number is well below 1 percent.

Great point. However if we have 500,000 that get infected and it doubles every week like it has, how long until we overwhelm the healthcare system? We are loosing very few now but the progression of the illness gets worse for a while until your immune system starts reacting. If you need ventilation and there is no bed for you, you are a statistic. We are not at the apex yet. LLL

Like we do with the regular flu? I agree, we will see number of deaths come close to the yearly deaths from the flu.
Why is this different, or should I ask, why don't we try to stop the flu deaths like we are this?

Day after day, you keep repeating the same garbage, while people keep repeating to you that the entire reason for the panic is in the potential of future problems.
I'm not saying it is or isn't overhyped. I'm just sick of reading you say the same thing over and over despite people repeatedly explaining to you. Either start a local rally at your capitol or shut up
