My Dad gave me an extensive tool collection from his time in the western store. With the extra home time I’ve broken them out and plan on making and tooling a holster for my .22.

Something about tools like that I find fascinating and knowing that a craftsman used them for years. Thanks for posting

Holster? You could go into Saddle making with that setup. shocked Good to see you are still kicking, Andrew.

How are you and the family doing? Bet the little ones are growing like weeds. smile

The kids are growing fast, they are getting crazy being cooped up at home. They seem to miss going to school/ daycare daily.

The tools are basically a saddle/shoe repair setup. They are from Slims western wear in Broken Bow.

Wow! What a great set of tools. Some of them could not be replaced now. I have done some leather work but don't have anywhere that amount of tools. Cherish them.

Wow!!!! You should have it covered. LOL If you want to clean the rust off any, you can use a 9 to 1 mixture of water and molasses. You could hang the ones with wood handles in the mixture. This mixture will NOT attack the metal but will remove the rust. Then use some beeswax to preserve them.

My youngest daughter has been doing leather for several years. I don't think she even comes close to that many tools! Heck of a bunch you have there. Your dad must have been a real craftsmen. Take good care of em.

Very nice assortment of tools there's no doubt about that ! I've got a triangle awl similar to the one which is the 5th one in on the bottom left in the first picture . However the only leather work I do is to restitch my work gloves I hate the feel of a seam under my fingernails.
