Same here. Rounding up people and bussing them to polls is ridiculous. They go back to their couch and wait for their handout.

I've seen it ( or at least it looked like it )

I have a friend , young girl in my FD. She just came of age a few days before Trump's election. She thought she could not vote because she was not registered. I did the research and found out she could register and vote same day in my state. Picked her up and took her to town hall registrar's office , she got registered and was even allowed to vote right there instead of going to the polls . Voted for Trump of course.

While we were there was a whole bunch of Hispanic people there doing the same thing , very few of them spoke English. That tells me they were probably not born here. How many of them were legal residents and allowed to vote is questionable to say the least. But in a blue state they don't ask too many questions.

My state has the voter/motor bill and allows illegal aliens to obtain drivers licenses. It is super easy to be registered to vote by just checking a box on a form at the motor vehicle department , whether it is legal to check that box or not , I bet it happens a lot. Blue state politicians made it that way.

McConnell's proposal had serious issues. $500 billion dollars of bailout money for big corporations, with no strings attached and little requirement for transparency. As well as a small business loan package excluding any non-profit receiving Medicaid funding. Not great for a lot of community organizations serving low income and senior folks.

Hopefully the two sides can come to an agreement quickly. But I for one am glad yesterday's stimulus package didn't pass.

Good to know. I'd like to see the rationale behind it.

Does either side mention how they intend to pay for it?

The dems and the Republicans arguing over who's getting what and bailed out, I think they should put all funds into the hospitals and clinics first,,these hospitals in the US need ppe more than I need a 1200$ bail out check imo,I pray me and my family and all of yall make it threw this before we bail out anyone,,,there is no reason anyone working in the health care system should be working without the proper equipment to protect them.

Coos. the loans to business with over 500 employed would have to be repaid. The small business loans could be forgiven under some conditions. The 500 bil slush fund with no strings attached is a liberal lie.

REVEALED: Nancy Pelosi’s stimulus bill would mandate nationwide “ballot harvesting,” allowing party operatives to return other people’s ballots to polling places without “any limit” on the number of ballots.

Have not researched this. if true sounds shady.

Its a vote by mail provision. Intended to prevent people from choosing between public exposure and casting their vote. Not ideal in terms of election security, but these aren't ideal times. Plenty of other items in their bill that are unrelated to the current crisis that will not be welcomed by Republicans (green energy, etc.). Both sides seem pretty good at weighing bills down like this. The stimulus portion has more appropriate limits on what corporations can do with the bailout and seems like it puts more focus on public institutions and families, so hopefully that will carry forward if the Republicans can get them to drop the other nonsense.

I don't believe either side has a plan for paying for this. They're looking into the abyss. I'm sure we'll all be getting the invoice before too long.

NPR described the stimulus package (R) proposal would come in the form of a loan to small business. Would require the business keep their employees for two years and a proportion of the loan would be forgiven.
