dust collector quit last night in the shop and i had to finish planing some oak and just the chips fall where they may. eek

took some pictures lol i know it shouldn't have the silver warts on the case

of course one of the big warts melted right on label so part number is gone

Hook two or more up in parallel. The capacitance rating is additive in parallel. I did that with my air compressor motor. The capacitor went dead and all I could find locally was half the rating. Bought two and hooked in parallel. Still working 30 years later.

I have one a year blow up on me after lightning strikes on VFD’s. Scares the heck out of me! Like a small bomb going off.

I closed the disconnect on a drive and a whole bank of caps went off like popcorn on me at work before. Had to go for a walk after that.

I've seen them bulge. I've seen the old ones leak. I've seen the end blown off. I've never seen this.
