Didn't know this but my brother called me tonight and told me.Trailer renewal stickers went from 18$ yearly to 118$. Wow!! cars went up 50 bucks.

Got to pay those union pensions some how.

WOW.....they are really stabbing you for fees.

Funny how blue states ( I'm in one too) just pull fees out of a hat on a whim to cover their spending out of control and expect taxpayers to just suck up the added increases.

One to watch for , they do it here , every 10 years or so they decide to change the style/color of our license plates. So basically every car/trailer/motorcycle etc needs a new plate. Can't use the old one , gotta buy a new one. $100+ each. It is in effect a hidden tax that robs every vehicle owner to get a new plate. Picture everyone in your state paying a $100 each or more if they own more than one vehicle.

It's just me and my wife, she has her car but I have 1 car and 2 trucks lol. Might be a reduction coming soon!

What kills me is they should open car/trailer/motorcycle registrations to any state instead of the just the one you live in. You can have a license plate/registration in any state and drive in all 50 states/Canada/Mexico and other places , why can't you register your car there too ? Open it up to free enterprise , if say Iowa is cheaper , you should be able to register your car there. But no , need to register your car in your home state so they can rob you. I see a lot of out of state plates here ( Maine/Florida/New Hampshire etc) because it is cheaper and some have no property tax on vehicles. They crack down on this practice with license plate scanners on police cars and the like. Can't lose that valuable revenue.

That’s nothing. One piece of property I own went up 212% another went up 170%. We are taxed to death. Sucks. Can’t wait to leave.

Register in Maine, good for 5 years, no inspection or insurance needed on trailer. Under 3000 lbs around $60 for 5 years.

Anything under 3000lbs GVW does not need any registration here in WI. I know there are a lot of boats that probably exceed that but very rarely see a plate on them. Usually only car haulers and larger would get bothered if at all.
