What type of tractor? Also, you might go to yesterdays tractors, a website, for help. A wealth of knowledge on that site and most of it about classic tractors.
Badges?? We don't need no stinkin' badges!!!

Will a new old stock (1980 or90s) Woods 59, that is set up for IH Cub belly, be rigged to fit an 80s Ford offset 1710 belly or behind?

It could fit as a belly mower on the Ford only if the Ford has a mid PTO (not sure they do), but you'll need a different mount. Mounts can be bought or fabricated, though neither will likely be cheap. To switch it to a 3pt lift would involve more than it's worth.

Looked up the mower and they have both gear box for pto and belt driven for bellys - so yes you could do it if you found one of each and made one. I guess if they both are free...…...but I would just do what I said above. You wont generally find a pto mower for scrap with a good gear box in them - generally......

You guys are right. The 59c is not going on the 1710 without a lot of misery. The hunt for a deck and rear rims begins. Still think I got a deal though.
