This evening dopey Washington State Governor Jay Inslee put the State on official shut down of all nonessential business and activity. I read through the very long list of "essential businesses" that are allowed to stay open; does it surprise anyone to learn that recreational marijuana stores are considered essential businesses?

If you know anything about the governor of Washington and the other State "leaders" it wouldn't surprise you in the least, I'm pretty sure that most of them are regular users of hallucinogens.

Do the recreational marijuana stores take the green card? If so then there's reasoning.

Nm shuts down ask non essential at 0800 hrs. Pretty much as it is now but now they are considering groups 5 or more to be too large. That includes husband wife and kids. NF is closing a lot of areas here too because of it

Under our governor's orders medical marijuana stores are considered an essential business in Ohio.

My small livestock farm is considered essential too under our governor's orders 12B and 12C. The way the orders are written, it sounds like I have to stay open if at all possible. Business has been good the last 2 weeks. I am not sure if most people know they can still buy from me under the new orders that went into effect at midmight, but I already have 3 appointments scheduled for tomorrow and one Friday.

Same in Alaska. They kept the cannabis stores open. Liquor stores as well. I guess they need those too. If they close the them they would have a run on the hospitals from Alcoholic DTs

If they closed the weed stores,they would probably just say" bummer man" and go home.

Yesterday our Dem governor shutdown all schools for the remainder of the school year in addition to all restaurants, bars, exercise facilities, etc. That's with only 254 cases state wide and a slowing of the increase of cases and many counties have no recorded cases. In the same breath he asked day care facilities to help out with the increased demand for their services, and tossed the schooling problem in the laps of the county/city school boards. It seems very short sighted to me, but no surprise from our idiot of a governor. How does shutting schools help if the kids go to day care, or stay with grandparents thereby potentially exposing folks who otherwise could remain isolated?

Wisconsin's "Safer at home" order went into effect today, too. I heard oj the radio last night they figure about 1.5 billion people are on some sort of lockdown right now.

Our governor is the most leftist one in the country,,and even he knew enough to keep liquor stores open.Its one thing to tell everyone to stay home,,Its a whole different story to say stay home with no booze or smokes.

Colorado tried to shut down liquor stores and dispensaries yesterday, created a mass rush. Hoards of people in line, better to reopen and deal with them trickling in a few at a time!

Well I got called in today was looking forward to a day off.There will be a run on meat all day I have enough meat procured to do about 100k in sales so maybe Friday I can take a day off.

I'm afraid the shut down is too little, too late. Especially in Washington.

Interesting point Zim. I just checked the list of states that issued some sort of stay at home order, and of all the states listed that I could find, only 1 has a Republican governor, out of a dozen or so. If West Virginia has the same order, their governor is now a Republican, but was elected as a democrat then switched parties after 6 months.

DE liquor stores are deemed "essential" here by our wonderful liberal governor.

I believe people are starting to see the problem with a governor/mayor being more or less unchecked.

Isn't it sad that we have to keep our Liquor stores along with our pot stores open. I can see if you have a medical marijuana card. But those only. Sort of tell you the state our country is in. JMO
