So how many out there have Check Points in their area now.. Both my son and daughter have letters from their employer saying they are essential and need to go to work. Just heard that there is a police check point set up on the hwy near the mall checking people..Don't have a hall pass from principal get sent home???
Not sure I believe it until see it myself??
So some you guys were right we now have a police state.
Wonder if I hook up the boat head for the river if they'll stop me send me home?? I think fishing is essential to my metal health..River is over 10Ft this morning so we are now under no wake rules here. That also mean fishing going to be tough and kinda sucks anyway..
Guess I'll have to stay home be safe maybe clean some guns..

Thought they encouraged outdoor activity.

I haven't heard of any check points here. I have already decided if stopped I will leave my window up for safety from the virus. Hold my license insurance card and registration against it. Keep repeating "I choose to not answer questions".

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Screw them. They encourage outdoor activity. The DNR has waived park admission fees. Go outside, just not in groups.

If they want martial law, they will have to come out full force.

I fear some jurisdictions will like to stage a show of force or power plays. All it will take is 1 incident and the whole show goes south.

Well, there it is Mac, I didn't read close enough. They're set up around the mall making sure the women don't drive around aimlessly since most their stores have been deemed nonessential.

No check points here YET. Friends are being issued "hall pass". One thing I've noticed is the increase of the air patrol. Yesterday police were circling all day in their plane. The past week the police have been using their helicopter all day and night.

My company printed out paperwork for us yesterday in case it comes down to us needing to prove where we are going. There are no police check points and I don’t think there will be, atleast not around here but I guess my company wanted to be prepared in case that time came.

I was drivin a bit fast this morning in the left lane on my way in to work and was about to pass a trooper who was driving the speed limit in the right lane. Just before I got to him he pulled into my lane and continued driving the speed limit. Drove there for about a mile and then got back over. I assume that was his way of telling me to slow down, without having to pull me over and talk face to face.

My brother is a sheriffs deputy and they aren’t supposed to be doing traffic stops at all. Just sit around and wait on a call to come in and then respond to it.

I don't know if the guy that told my son that was chitting him or not.. My son goes into work around 4-4:30 and goes threw that area..Store opens at 5:00am now no more 24/7 This guy came in hour or so after him told him there was a check point..
I messaged my son around 6:15 just to see if store was a zoo like during weekend. They had people lined up at door 5am Saturday ran in like Black Friday..
Both my son and daughter do have letters they carrying if stopped. Letters from the boss saying they are essential.. So that part is real and I know one my son's buddies has a letter too from his employer. He showed it to me yesterday and was laughing about it. Works for a company selling contractor equipment and supplies.. They got wiped out on face mask and shields..My son is also paid on call fire fighter for a second job..He scored couple boxes tyvak suits for them from his buddy..Yes they are wearing them when responding to medical calls now..

I forgot we are up to 5 new 10 confirmed cases covid-19 here in our county. With one now being classified as unknown point of exposure.

We are getting our "hall passes" today.

I can hear the fan blades and I can smell the manure. Sure hope the two don't meet.

Goggle Whittier Tunnel, Alaska. Me and a buddy walked through that long before they put a road in it. It's almost three miles long. Some RR guys caught us about two thirds of the way through, chewed our @#@, told us a train was coming and to get out. They didn't offer us a ride. I wasn't sure I was going to survive that one.

I'd think any sort of checkpoint would make the news, probably locally and nationally. Out of all the states with variations of stay at home orders, I haven't heard of any police (or Nat'l Guard, but they're just being deployed for food distribution... right) checkpoints.

With bow long the list of "essential" businesses is, it would be impossible to enforce a checkpoint. Buddy and I went fishing yesterday on the Fox River, the fish don't care about being Safer at Home, so I stopped by the gas station and got some essential minnows. Hand sanitizer before I went in and after I came out and didn't touch anything in the store.

Until I see a verified news report of checkpoints, I won't put any stock in the rumors.

Are the WI cops still going to investigate crimes while they now do these extra 'duties" of monitoring people's activities? I don't think the criminals are going to stay at home much...

I saw a headline yesterday that cops in Dallas, Texas were going to stop responding to calls about theft.

I did hear on the radio yesterday that violating the Safer at Home order was enforceable, it would be a misdemeanor with a $250 fine I think, and they were asking people to call in if their neighbors were violating.

The Feds set up a check point on the Federal Ground where I work. PHS Medical staff are taking temps of every person entering the facility and collecting medical data from each individual

Yet the DNR waives park fees and tells us to go for walks.

The gov't can't get their ducks in the same farm, let alone a row.

Business as usual here I went to Sioux Falls yesterday our most populated City traffic was lighter but did not see any herding going on or check points our Governor said it’s not up to her to lock down the State. Deadwood announced it was closing today I was surprised to hear that.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Well if they really have a check point out there by mall??? I would think my FB would have blown up by now?? and it hasn't..
I'm in a pretty strategic spot here where I live. Do notice been lot less morning traffic even for last few days. Think I'll get on my bike take a ride south see if is check point on edge of town..Just now chatting with my brother about it, so he called his wife. Ask her had she seen any check points on way to work.. She said no check points but did see more police cars than ever roaming around..She works in IT at Mayo so her badge is her pass to roam..
I went for a bike ride yesterday just around neighbor hood. Was really nice to ride like so many others do. Rode right down middle of the street even went wrong way on wrong side in places. Blew off all stop signs never signaled any turns.. Not one car around to honk at me and I didn't have to flip off even one driver..Was nice..LMAO

Mac.
