Maybe they know how to drive.
But, how hard would it be to just give them a call? They will tell you which button to push to turn it back on. It's almost as easy as re-adjusting the seat and mirrors.

Nobody uses mirrors so those at least don't get messed with
Or blinkers. I use cruise control all the time, it makes driving a lot less fatiguing.

I use cruise control for 95% of my driving. It has probably saved me many speeding tickets.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

I use cruise control for 95% of my driving. It has probably saved me many speeding tickets. Especially on these newer vehicles. Some are so responsive off the accelerator there isn't really a holding position so you're always feathering the pedal. I drive 170-200 miles a day at work.

My pet peeve is when people pass, while using Cruise, and it takes a 1/2 mile to “git er done”. STEP ON THE GAS, it will go right back to your cruising speed. X2

How about the seat, these short legged people move the seat all the up and when I want to get in I have to squeeze behind the wheel.

Cruise contol turns off when vechile shuts off each time. What make/model would that be so I can avoid them? Even Subaru isn't that dumb. Same thing with the power outlets not working when the vehicle is off.

Why is it that anytime someone drives one of my vehicles, work or personal, that they almost without fail, turn off the cruise control? Maybe they think it will resume at whatever speed they had it set on when they used it. Try telling them it doesn't and see if that's the problem. I had someone use my 2018 truck once and they did the same thing. That's really annoying!
I don't care how nice the hand soap smells, you should never walk out of the restroom sniffing your fingers.

How about the seat, these short legged people move the seat all the up and when I want to get in I have to squeeze behind the wheel. In my years as a mechanic , I have learned how to drive some else's car with the seat , mirrors , steering column and such in the way the owner has left them. The only time I move things is if they are totally at the extreme as in someone's car who is a dwarf or extremely tall. I have even driven cars where the owner is a handicapped person and has blocks of wood mounted to the pedals or hand controls. This is a learned trait only done out of courtesy as I know how much it ticks off people to have to readjust every thing back to their preferences. I do not recommend this to the casual driver however , better to move things to drive safely , seats/mirrors etc are easier to move back than getting into an accident because of poor vision or control. On a longer trip , over a half hour , I will readjust things. For a standard quick road test I leave things be.

I only use cruise control about once or twice a year. Only use it on I-90 between George and Spokane, and on I-5 in the San Joaquin Valley. It does relieve fatigue on those drives. Other places I drive it would not be safe to use CC.

Same thing with the power outlets not working when the vehicle is off. The new Subaru cruise control accels/decels in 5 mph increments. Every other car make does it in 1 mph increments. That's dumb.

How about the seat, these short legged people move the seat all the up and when I want to get in I have to squeeze behind the wheel. I won't even let my wife use my rig since it is apparent that she only knows how to move the seat up to the steering wheel but not the other direction. LOL
